Mercedes-Benz India announces organisational changes

Mercedes-Benz India has
announced couple of key organisational changes in its after-sales and marketing
communications and CRM divisions. Devdutta Chandavarkar, currently Vice
President, After Sales and Member of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz
India has taken over the position of Director, After-Sales at Mercedes-Benz
Middle East and Levant (MBMEL) in Dubai. Santosh Iyer, currently the Vice
President, Marketing & CRM and Member of the Board of Management, has been
promoted and will be taking the new responsibility of heading the After-Sales
division of the Three Pointed Star in India
The new appointments will be
effective from January 1, 2016
In addition to the above
appointments, the Marketing & CRM and the Corporate Communications function
are now split, and will continue to report to the Managing Director & CEO.
Amit Thete, who is currently heading the Event Communications division, will be
taking care of the Marketing & CRM function. Shekhar Das Chowdhury will now
be heading the Corporate Communications function of the brand.

Devdutta Chandavarkar has been
associated with Mercedes-Benz for over 17 years and has played a pivotal role
in shaping the aftersales function Mercedes-Benz India. Under his able
leadership, Mercedes-Benz India has continuously achieved top results in After
Sales and Training area and the brand’s performance in these areas has been
highly appreciated by headquarters. He has also been instrumental in ensuring
Mercedes-Benz topped the CSI scores in Aftersales twice in a row in the
J.D.Power CSI Study.
Santosh Iyer, currently Vice
President, Marketing & CRM is instrumental for Mercedes-Benz India’s
success in reinforcing the brand image and communicating the dynamic face of
Mercedes-Benz to the customers, through numerous innovative marketing campaigns.
Under his stewardship, Mercedes-Benz India achieved No. 1 position in Brand
Equity, not only in India, but also created a benchmark within the entire
Mercedes-Benz family, globally. Under Santosh’s leadership, Mercedes-Benz
India’s Customer Relations Management activity stepped up to the next level,
resulting in enhancing customer satisfaction.
